Uploaded imagePete Hegseth is the Secretary of Defense, the person who oversees the Defense Department and acts as the principal defense policy maker and advisor. Hegseth is a combat veteran, and he's also a former host for Fox News. Apparently Jeffrey Goldberg, The Atlantic's editor-in-chief, was added to a group chat by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. In that chat, a U.S. military mission that was to take place in Yemen on March 15, 2025, was discussed. Mr. Goldberg wrote a report on March 24, 2025, describing how he had been privy to some sensitive information about the bombing of Houthi rebels to include "weapons packages, targets, and timing"....Click Here.

Mr. Hegseth may not have directly included a reporter in the conversation, but it would be his responsibility to know who's in attendance at such meetings. To add insult to injury, it seems as though this has happened again. The attack plans on Houthi targets were leaked to individuals outside the Department of Defense via a group chat: his wife and his personal lawyer. His brother, Phil, was also included in the chat, but at least he is a senior liaison to the Pentagon for the Department of Homeland Security. This highly sensitive information was allegedly pulled from a secure communications channel used by U.S. Central Command and was classified. If this all proves to be true, it gives the appearance that Hegseth is somewhat incompetent or at least a little careless. All reports indicate Hegseth still has the support of President Donald Trump.

Should Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth be fired?
